ZooTampa at Lowry Park was founded in the 1930s as a municipal department that was home to several Florida species. ZooTampa at Lowry Park is home to a diverse range of animals, encompassing nearly the entire planet. Animals found throughout the zoo include manatees, macaws, river otters, American bald eagles, Florida panthers, Bornean orangutans, lemurs, mandrills, guenons, Indian rhinos, Malayan tigers, Komodo dragons, Warty pigs, giraffes, Aldabra tortoises, elephants, African painted dogs, koalas, bats, wallabies, African penguins, and much, much more.
The zoo participates in close to 100 AZA networks that are focused on managing endangered and threatened species. In fact, ZooTampa at Lowry Park has won several awards for its conservation and management programs. Florida recognized the zoo in 2004 as a center for biodiversity and conservation.

Single-day tickets to ZooTampa at Lowry Park that are purchased online cost $41.95 for adults and $31.95 for children aged three to 11. In-person single-day admission tickets cost $44.95 for adults and $34.95 for children aged three to 11.
You can upgrade your experience with a signature encounter, such as an Aldabra tortoise encounter, a backstage giraffe encounter, a Koala photo encounter, a backstage encounter with African penguins, an Indian rhino feeding, a backstage encounter with an African elephant, and a behind-the-scenes experience with a southern white rhino.
